It offers sub-millimeter slices, routine 16-slice coverage, 4th evolution technology, GE microVoxel technology, and high-resolution 3D imaging. The upgraded data acquisition system records 16 channels of data simultaneously, supporting both 3D and 4D imaging with the ability to display multiple images at once.
The scanner comes in two versions: the GE LightSpeed Pro 16 and the standard GE LightSpeed 16. The LightSpeed Pro features a Performix Pro X-ray tube, a different generator, and gantry, enabling higher mA techniques and faster scan times, with an anode heat capacity of 7.5-8 MHU, depending on the model.
